Troubles mentaux chez les travailleurs de la santé dans un contexte d’insécurité : cas du Centre Hospitalier Régional Universitaire de Fada N’Gourma, Fada N’Gourma, Burkina Faso

Introduction
Les travailleurs de la santé dans les zones de conflit sont confrontés à des situations altérant leur santé physique et mentale. Peu d’études existent sur l’état de santé mentale de ces travailleurs dans ces zones.
Objectifs : déterminer la prévalence des troubles mentaux et les facteurs associés.
Matériel et méthodes
Il s’est agi d’une étude transversale qui s’est déroulée entre le 1er février et le 28 février 2023 au Hospitalier Régional Universitaire de Fada N’Gourma. Le questionnaire MINI, le post-traumatic check List 5 et le Live Events Check List 5 ont été utilisés pour la collecte des données. Les données ont été saisies avec le logiciel Epidata 2.0 et analysées avec le logiciel Stata 17.0. Le seuil de significativité était de 0,05.
Résultats
Quatre cent trente-trois travailleurs étaient éligibles pour l’étude. Parmi eux, 110 ont fourni des informations valides et constitué notre échantillon. Les sujets de sexe féminin représentaient 34,55%. L’âge moyen des participants était de 38,05 ±6,96 ans. La prévalence globale des troubles mentaux était de 38,18%. Les trois principaux troubles mentaux étaient l’agoraphobie (14,55%), l’épisode dépressif (12,73%) et la dysthymie (10,00%). La présence d’un état de stress post-traumatique multipliait le risque de troubles mentaux par 5 (ORa = 5,32 ; IC95% [1,67–16,95] ; p = 0,005).
Conclusion
La prévalence des troubles mentaux chez les travailleurs de santé était élevée. Un dispositif d’accompagnement psychologique devrait être mis en place afin de soulager ces travailleurs.
