Introduction: In medical biology, the assessment method influences the accuracy of the results. Indeed, biochemical parameters determination from same sample carried out in different analyzers can deliver different results.
Materials and methods: To avoid such situation, a cross-sectional study was conducted from 14 October 2023 to 18 January 2024 in the biochemistry laboratory of the Institut National d'Hygiène of Lomé on 330 fresh samples. The biochemical parameters analyzed were total cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, urea and uric acid. The statistical tests to compare the results obtained from each device were carried out using SPSS 25 software. Lines and the differences of diagrams and reports were built using XLSTAT software.
Results: Using the Cobas C311 analyzer as a reference, the analysis revealed a strong correlation with the results of the Selectra ProM analyzer for the biochemical parameters (Pearson coefficient > 0.95). The difference and ratio diagrams showed good agreement between the results of the two analyzers.
Conclusion: The Selectra ProM and Cobas C311 analyzers produced concordant results, showing that the two analyzers can be used concomitantly without any risk of significant bias for the biochemical parameters studied.
