Analyse bibliométrique de l’état des connaissances sur l’écologie, les services écosystémiques et la distribution spatiale de Vitex doniana sur la base de données Scopus de 1993 à 2025

Vitex doniana Sweet est une espèce ligneuse indigène majeure des savanes africaines
en raison de la diversité des services écosystémiques qu’elle fournit aux populations
et aux écosystèmes. Afin d’évaluer l’état des connaissances sur cette espèce dans les
domaines de l’écologie, des services écosystémiques et de la distribution spatiale, une
analyse bibliométrique a été réalisée à l’aide du progiciel Bibliometrix sous R, à partir
des publications indexées dans Scopus entre 1993 et 2025. Les résultats révèlent une
augmentation progressive de la production scientifique, principalement axée sur les
usages traditionnels, la valeur socioéconomique, la domestication et la régénération
naturelle de l’espèce. En revanche, les recherches consacrées à la modélisation de la
distribution spatiale et à l’évaluation des services écosystémiques restent limitées. Le
Bénin, le Nigeria et le Burkina Faso figurent parmi les principaux pays contributeurs,
tandis que l’article de Vodouhê et al. (2009), publié dans Economic Botany, est le plus
cité. L’analyse des mots-clés met en évidence des thématiques dominantes telles que
l’agroforesterie, la conservation, la sécurité alimentaire, la foresterie et le changement
climatique. Ces résultats soulignent la nécessité de renforcer les approches
écologiques et spatiales, notamment par la modélisation écologique (MaxEnt, ENM),
afin d’améliorer la conservation, la restauration et la gestion durable de V. doniana en
Afrique tropicale.
